Ljósbrot | Refraction

Verið velkomin á myndlistarsýninguna Ljósbrot í Iðnó, 12. nóvember 2023. Opnunin stendur frá 15:00 til 17:30.

Antonía Berg, Íris María Leifsdóttir og Vikram Pradhan hafa unnið saman að sýningu um hulinn heim kristalla sem vaxa í Brennisteinsfjöllum. Þau skoða eiginleika kristallana og beita mismunandi aðferðum til að komst nær þeim. Sýningin samanstendur af ljósmyndum, kristallavöxt á gleri, vídeóverki og margvíslegum jarðefnum: kristallar, jökulleir, vikur, mýrarrauða og mica.

Sýningin Ljósbrot beinir ásýnd sinni á endurkast ljóss og býður þátttakendum að upplifa staðbundið ljósbrot — umvefur okkur í augnablikinu þegar sólskin skín á kristal.

Refraction | Ljósbrot

Welcome to the art exhibition Refraction in Iðnó on November 12th, 2023. Opening will be from 15:00 - 17:30.

Antonía Berg, Íris María Leifsdóttir and Vikram Pradhan have worked together on an exhibition focusing on the hidden world of crystals that grow in Brennisteinsfjöll. They examine the properties of the crystals and use different methods to get closer to them. The exhibition consists of photographs, crystal growth on glass, video work and raw materials: crystals, glacial clay, pumice, bog iron and mica.The refraction of light; the moment when the sun reflects on a crystal, they invite participants to experience refraction.

The exhibition Ljósbrot focuses on the reflection of light and invites participants to experience refraction — experience the moment when sunlight shines on crystal.
